Java AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Java AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate with expertise in designing and developing scalable microservices, cloud-native applications, and AI-powered solutions that drive enterprise innovation and operational efficiency.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java AI Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, and Kafka to support high-performance business solutions.

• Build and deploy Generative AI solutions, including LLM integrations, RAG architecture, AI Agents, semantic search capabilities, and vector database implementations.

• Develop secure RESTful APIs and event-driven services while implementing enterprise security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC.

• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise knowledge repositories and business systems, enabling intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and enhanced decision-making.

• Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive solution architecture, code quality, performance optimization, observability, and adoption of emerging AI and cloud technologies.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.

• 6-8 years of experience in Java development, backend engineering, and enterprise application development.

• Strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, and cloud-native application development.

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLM integrations (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI), RAG architectures, AI Agents, LangChain/LlamaIndex, Vector Databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
