Java Back-end Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Java Back-end Developer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based platforms and APIs for large-scale connected systems.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Back-end Developer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications, platforms, and APIs that support connected vehicle ecosystem.

• Build RESTful and gRPC microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.

• Deploy and manage cloud-native applications in AWS environments using Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and support real-time data processing solutions using Kafka to handle high volumes of vehicle connectivity events.

• Implement secure software solutions using OAuth2/JWT authentication and follow cloud security best practices.

• Monitor, troubleshooting, and optimize mission-critical production systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in cloud-based software development.

• Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions using Java, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and microservices architecture.

• Proven expertise in API development, cloud security, real-time data processing, and supporting mission-critical, high-availability applications in a production environment.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
