Java Data Eng

Akkodis is seeking a Java Data Eng for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. This role focuses on designing and building scalable data pipelines, backend services, and microservices using Java, Spark, and cloud technologies.

Rate Range: $55/Hour to $58/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java Data Eng Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, backend services, and data pipelines using Java, Scala, and Python.

• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot.

• Develop and optimize large-scale ETL/ELT, batch, and streaming data pipelines leveraging Apache Spark, PySpark, and Kafka.

• Integrate and manage data across relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms.

• Implement AI and Generative AI capabilities, including LLM integrations, RAG frameworks, vector databases, and prompt engineering solutions.

• Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure high-quality software delivery, CI/CD implementation, performance optimization, and production support.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in Java development and data engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Apache Spark/PySpark, and building large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Strong expertise in Apache Kafka, SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $58.00 per hour
