Java SW Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Java SW Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native Java applications and microservices to support critical business functions.

Rate Range: $56/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Java SW Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and web services to support high-performance, distributed applications.

• Develop and manage MongoDB data models, ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS and support application modernization initiatives.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments to ensure reliable and automated software delivery.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance, security, and scalability while following best coding practices and design patterns.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Java application development and enterprise software engineering.

• Strong expertise in Core Java, Advanced Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Microservices, and MongoDB.

• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS with exposure to Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
