Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Lead for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate with experience managing enterprise firewall environments, security policies, and network segmentation initiatives to strengthen cybersecurity posture.

Rate Range: $53/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage and administer enterprise firewall environments, including policy creation, rule maintenance, optimization, and security governance.

• Design, implement, and maintain network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies to support Zero Trust security architecture.

• Configure and optimize security technologies including Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco Firewalls, IPS/IDS solutions, and NAC platforms.

• Implement and manage Microsoft Defender Security Suite capabilities, including EDR, threat hunting, attack surface reduction, and security automation.

• Develop and enforce access control policies, SSL decryption policies, and SIEM integrations to enhance visibility and threat detection.

• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams to analyze traffic flows, reduce lateral movement risks, and improve overall security posture.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6–10 years of experience in Network Security, Cybersecurity, or Information Security.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, firewall administration (Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco), and IPS/IDS technologies.

• Experience designing and implementing Network Segmentation, Micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust security architectures in enterprise environments.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
