Lead Simulation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Simulation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Scarsdale, NY. The ideal candidate with experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise SDDC platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery for mission-critical environments.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Simulation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platforms supporting mission-critical banking applications and infrastructure.

• Design and implement NSX-T networking solutions, including micro-segmentation, Zero Trust security controls, routing, and load balancing.

• Manage vLCM (vSAN Lifecycle Manager) strategies for patching, firmware compliance, upgrades, and infrastructure standardization across enterprise environments.

• Design, implement, and support VMware Live Recovery (VLR) and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring compliance with RPO/RTO requirements and business continuity objectives.

• Develop and optimize vROps dashboards, monitoring, capacity planning, performance analytics, and operational reporting for infrastructure health and availability.

• Drive automation, security, and cloud integration initiatives while collaborating with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to maintain highly available, compliant, and scalable SDDC environments.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 10+ years of experience with VMware virtualization technologies in enterprise or financial services environments.

• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T, vSAN Lifecycle Manager (vLCM), VMware Live Recovery (VLR), and vRealize Operations (vROps).

• Proven experience designing and supporting highly available, compliant SDDC environments, including disaster recovery, automation, and hybrid cloud solutions such as VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC AWS).

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
