Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Buyer

Akkodis is seeking a Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Buyer for a Contract with a client in Mount Vernon, WA. The ideal candidate with experienced purchasing professionals with a strong background in MRO procurement, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Rate Range: $30/Hour to $35/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) Buyer Job Responsibilities include:

• Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders for MRO products and services while ensuring compliance with approval workflows and company procurement policies.

• Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and service excellence.

• Analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and streamline procurement processes.

• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and accounting teams to resolve purchasing issues, invoice discrepancies, and material requirements.

• Monitor supplier performance, manage change orders, and implement corrective actions to address quality, quantity, and delivery concerns.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, MRO purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.

• Proven experience managing supplier relationships, sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, and issuing purchase orders.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement reporting and ROI analysis.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
