Manufacturing Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a Contract to Hire with a client in Fairport, NY. This role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, and repairing PCB assemblies while ensuring high-quality electro-mechanical product performance.

Rate Range: $26/Hour to $30/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities include:

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of PCB assemblies and electro-mechanical products.

• Execute through-hole and surface mount soldering, rework, and assembly activities.

• Maintain high-quality standards and ensure 100% accuracy in production processes.

• Support engineering prototype testing and assist with product validation activities.

• Monitor inventory, maintain process documentation, and ensure tools and equipment are operating properly.

• Train production technicians on established procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in PCB assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and electronic product repair.

• Hands-on experience with PCB soldering, including surface mount (SMT) and through-hole assembly, rework, and repair.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics, technical drawings, and production work instructions.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
