Manufacturing Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a Contract job with a client in Malabar, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing operations, material staging, production readiness, and inventory coordination within a manufacturing environment.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $23.50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Technician Job Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate and stage assemblies, components, feeders, tooling, and production materials to support Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing operations and ensure production readiness.

• Verify job documentation, bills of material, production travelers, work orders, and manufacturing system records to confirm accuracy and readiness for scheduled production activities.

• Monitor material availability, kit completeness, work order status, and inventory accuracy to ensure uninterrupted production flow and timely execution of manufacturing schedules.

• Support manufacturing operations by moving materials, assemblies, and work-in-process inventory through designated staging and production areas while maintaining traceability and organization.

• Identify material shortages, component mismatches, documentation discrepancies, and workflow issues and escalate concerns appropriately to support production efficiency.

• Maintain organized work areas, accurate records, and compliance with manufacturing procedures while supporting operational targets, quality requirements, and production objectives.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant manufacturing, production, material handling, inventory, or SMT-related experience, or an Associate Degree with up to two years of related experience.

• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, production readiness activities, inventory control processes, material staging, or supply chain support functions.

• Demonstrated ability to read and follow work instructions, bills of material, production schedules, travelers, manufacturing documentation, and operating procedures.

• Strong understanding of material flow, production support activities, inventory accuracy requirements, and manufacturing process controls.

• Ability to identify and communicate operational issues, material shortages, production constraints, and inventory discrepancies effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Surface Mount Technology (SMT), electronics manufacturing, circuit card assembly, aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing operations.

• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems, inventory management systems, material tracking tools, and production scheduling processes.

• Experience coordinating production materials, staging activities, feeder setups, component handling, and work-in-process inventory management.

• Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments that require strict traceability, documentation control, and quality compliance.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.50 per hour
