Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sparks, NV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and troubleshooting complex enterprise network environments, including Cisco ACI, Palo Alto Firewalls, Wireless networks, and IPSec VPN technologies in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Provide Level 3 support and troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, Data Center, Wireless, Security, and VPN environments.

• Administer, configure, and support Cisco ACI/SDA, Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSec VPNs, and enterprise wireless network infrastructure.

• Lead critical P1 incident investigations in a 24x7 factory production environment using packet capture tools such as Wireshark.

• Manage network changes, service requests, software upgrades, and maintenance activities for network and security devices.

• Monitor network performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce incident resolution times.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor L1/L2 support teams while driving technical resolution efforts during high-impact production outages.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise network operations, network security, and datacenter technologies.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI/SDA, Palo Alto Firewalls, IPSec VPNs, enterprise wireless networks, and Infoblox DDI administration.

• Proven experience in advanced Layer 3 troubleshooting, packet analysis (Wireshark), P1 incident management, and supporting mission-critical 24x7 production environments.

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
