Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Observability Engineer for a Direct Hire with a client in Exton, PA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will drive proactive observability across mission-critical hosted cloud environments by implementing log correlation, SLO/SLI reporting, and early-warning detection to improve system reliability and SLA performance.

Salary Range: $120K/Yearly to $140/Yearly; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Observability Engineer Responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide log correlation solutions across Linux, middleware, and application environments.

  • Develop and maintain SLO/SLI reporting, error-budget metrics, and client-facing SLA performance dashboards.

  • Monitor system health proactively and implement early-warning indicators to identify and prevent potential service disruptions.

  • Administer and optimize observability and monitoring platforms, including SolarWinds, ManageEngine, and Site24x7.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and improve detection and response capabilities.

  • Ensure observability tools, standards, and reporting processes comply with FFIEC, SOC 2, NIST, and organizational security requirements.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in monitoring, observability engineering, systems administration, or cloud infrastructure support.

  • Proven experience designing and managing log correlation platforms, SLO/SLI frameworks, and enterprise monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, ManageEngine, or Site24x7.

  • Strong Linux systems administration experience with expertise in cloud platforms (Azure preferred), incident response, and observability practices within regulated environments (FFIEC, SOC 2, and NIST).
