Akkodis is seeking an Oracle/SQL Database Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in Clinton, NJ. You will drive performance tuning and backup/recovery operations while ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized database environments.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Oracle/SQL Database Technical Lead job responsibilities include:
Lead end‑to‑end Oracle/SQL database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery by managing RAC, Data Guard, ACFS, and robust backup/recovery processes using RMAN, Data Pump, and Cohesity.
Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving bottlenecks and improving storage, I/O, and query efficiency.
Maintain strong security and compliance through access management, unified auditing, and timely application of security patches.
Collaborate with application teams to support database requirements and provide 24/7 on‑call technical assistance.
Manage AWS cloud database operations, including EC2‑based deployments, terraform provisioning, and on‑prem to cloud migrations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Oracle and SQL database administration.
Proven expertise in high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions such as RAC, Data Guard, and ACFS.
Strong proficiency in performance tuning, monitoring tools, and backup/recovery technologies including RMAN, Data Pump, and Cohesity.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
