    Akkodis is seeking an Oracle/SQL Database Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in Clinton, NJ. You will drive performance tuning and backup/recovery operations while ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized database environments.

    Rate Range: $40/hour to $41/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Oracle/SQL Database Technical Lead job responsibilities include:

    • Lead end‑to‑end Oracle/SQL database administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

    • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery by managing RAC, Data Guard, ACFS, and robust backup/recovery processes using RMAN, Data Pump, and Cohesity.

    • Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving bottlenecks and improving storage, I/O, and query efficiency.

    • Maintain strong security and compliance through access management, unified auditing, and timely application of security patches.

    • Collaborate with application teams to support database requirements and provide 24/7 on‑call technical assistance.

    • Manage AWS cloud database operations, including EC2‑based deployments, terraform provisioning, and on‑prem to cloud migrations.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • 8–10 years of hands‑on experience in Oracle and SQL database administration.

    • Proven expertise in high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions such as RAC, Data Guard, and ACFS.

    • Strong proficiency in performance tuning, monitoring tools, and backup/recovery technologies including RMAN, Data Pump, and Cohesity.

    Pay Details: $40.00 to $41.00 per hour
