Performance Test Engineer

Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a 12+ month temporary/possible temp-to-hire Performance Test Engineer for an onsite role with an industry leader in Erie, PA.  The Performance Test Engineer will work on highly complex migration efforts and overarching application work and assist in leading core team to successful outcomes by leveraging overall technology, core integration knowledge and fundamental understandings.  Qualifications include 5+ years of performance and load testing using LoadRunner or similar tools along with a Bachelor degree.

Salary Range:  $55-60 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Performance Test Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Supports several key initiatives, which may include but are not limited to Billing V3, Customer Service new applications, and the Data team. These areas are leveraging new ways of working, such as, with AWS migrations and overarching application work among multiple technical platforms.

• Automates tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.

• Reviews and debugs code.

• Performs validation and verification testing (unit and integration testing).

• Communicates and collaborates openly and effectively across teams, vendors, and portfolios.

• Coaches and mentors peers and junior engineers.

• May perform as a technical lead on a medium complexity/risk project or a production support team/service team.

• May participate in Proof of Concept (POC) execution under the leadership of a Technology Architect or Principal Engineer.

 

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with LoadRunner Enterprise or similar load testing tool knowledge such as JMeter or Neoload.

• 2+ years of experience mentoring junior Testers or related.

• Experience with validating application interactions and dependencies across areas within a single environment.

• Participation and/or process ownership in a quality review function(e.g. PEGT, CAB)z.

• Gathering and defining performance test requirements.

• Integrated Requirements Management Practices(specific use of Jira, Gitlab, and/or ServiceNow a bonus).
