Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing operations for electronic products and assemblies. This role is responsible for improving production efficiency, maintaining manufacturing processes and documentation, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure products are designed for effective and scalable manufacturing. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Pay Range: $85,000-105,000 Annually + Benefits
Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing requirements and develop cost estimates, labor standards, production capacities, and process recommendations for new and existing products.
Design and support electrical, mechanical, and software-related manufacturing solutions as needed.
Review engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, technical documentation, and related materials to verify compliance with product and customer requirements.
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing methods, workflows, and assembly processes for electronic products and subassemblies.
Support process development and ongoing process control across manufacturing operations, including assembly, soldering, coating, preparation, and associated production equipment.
Ensure manufacturing practices align with applicable quality standards, industry requirements, and customer contractual obligations.
Create, revise, and maintain manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, process flows, procedures, travelers, and production support materials.
Coordinate engineering change activities, including change requests, notices, deviations, waivers, and related documentation.
Manage product lifecycle activities from initial development through production, sustainment, and end-of-life planning.
Evaluate, select, and implement manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production technologies to improve operational performance.
Investigate manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions that improve quality, productivity, and reliability.
Partner with design engineering teams during new product introduction and process release activities.
Develop and execute test plans, validation procedures, reliability assessments, and failure analysis investigations.
Maintain manufacturing records, operational metrics, and reporting systems to support production performance monitoring.
Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding manufacturing challenges, proposals, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
Minimum of four years of experience within an electronics manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
Experience supporting manufacturing process development, process improvement, and production operations.
Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Working knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design concepts, routing, and 3D modeling.
Experience using electronic design and CAD tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, KiCad, Eagle, Autodesk Fusion, or similar software.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
