Python Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Python Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will design and maintains REST APIs and optimized data storage solutions while writing clean, testable code and integrating server‑side logic with cloud‑based and DevOps workflows.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Python Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high‑availability backend services and web applications using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to support secure and efficient data exchange between server‑side systems and front‑end applications.

• Design, implement, and optimize SQL and NoSQL database solutions using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code, performing debugging, performance tuning, and automated testing using PyTest.

• Integrate DevOps practices by leveraging Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS to support reliable deployments.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate business logic, automate workflows, and support Property & Casualty insurance applications.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• 6–8 years of professional experience in Python backend development.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI), REST API development, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Domain knowledge or prior experience supporting Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance applications and data workflows.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
