Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Researcher for a Contract job with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative UX research, research strategy, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, along with a proven ability to manage complex research initiatives and deliver actionable insights.

Rate Range: $67/hour to $69/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Researcher Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with stakeholders, business leaders, and internal research teams to define project scope, establish research objectives, and develop comprehensive research plans aligned with business goals.

  • Oversee the development and quality of research materials including screeners, discussion guides, surveys, moderation guides, consent forms, and supporting documentation to ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Design, conduct, and manage qualitative and quantitative UX research studies utilizing a variety of methodologies including interviews, usability testing, surveys, field studies, diary studies, and other user-centered research techniques.

  • Lead and mentor research teams by providing strategic guidance, ensuring project quality, managing timelines, and supporting successful delivery of research initiatives.

  • Analyze research findings and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that drive product, business, and customer experience decisions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, User Experience, Market Research, Social Sciences, or a related field.

  • A minimum of eight years of experience in UX Research, Market Research, Customer Research, Human Factors, or a related research discipline.

  • Demonstrated expertise conducting both qualitative and quantitative research and selecting appropriate methodologies based on business and product objectives.

  • Proven experience leading medium to large research teams while managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Market Research, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.

  • Experience scaling research programs, expanding research capabilities, and building research practices within growing organizations.

  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence strategic decisions through research-driven insights.

  • Experience supporting digital products, customer experience initiatives, software applications, or technology-focused environments.

Pay Details: $67.00 to $79.00 per hour
