    Akkodis is seeking a Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX (Hybrid). The candidate must have strong web application security expertise to assess risk, identify vulnerabilities, and drive mitigation across critical services.

    Rate Range: $68/hour to $71/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Security Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Assess the security risk landscape for web applications and recommend targeted mitigation strategies.

    • Perform penetration testing and vulnerability scans using tools such as Burp, Zap, or WebInspect.

    • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and security teams to strengthen application security controls.

    • Review and address security compliance tickets, ensuring alignment with required standards.

    • Support containerized environments by applying secure practices across Kubernetes and Docker setups.

    • Communicate security findings, risks, and remediation steps clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related technical field.

    • 4+ years of experience in security engineering with a focus on web application security.

    • Ability to perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and handle security compliance tasks as required by the client.

    • Capability to work across Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS environments to support secure application operations per client expectations.

    Pay Details: $68.00 to $71.00 per hour
