Senior Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data platforms, and analytics solutions to support enterprise data initiatives.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure to support efficient data collection, transformation, and analysis.

• Develop and optimize data solutions, including data models, workflows, and applications, to meet business and technology requirements.

• Implement and support cloud-based data platforms such as data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouse environments using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Create and maintain data engineering scripts, automation tools, and analytical processes using Python and related technologies.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to define data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.

• Monitor performance, troubleshoot data pipeline issues, and drive continuous improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or related disciplines.

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Python, GitHub, and scalable data pipeline development.

• Experience designing and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and data infrastructure to support large-scale data processing and analytics.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
