Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Mt Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate with expertise designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI-driven solutions that enable data-driven decision-making and intelligent automation.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines using PySpark, Python, Databricks, and SQL to support enterprise data processing and analytics initiatives.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting, transforming, and processing structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
Develop scalable data models, data marts, and analytical datasets while implementing data quality controls, monitoring, and governance standards.
Design and implement Agentic AI solutions, leveraging LLM frameworks to build intelligent agents capable of reasoning, planning, and task execution.
Optimize Spark and Databricks workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across cloud-based data platforms.
Collaborate with business, analytics, QA, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions, automate processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data development, analytics platforms, and AI-driven solution development.
Strong hands-on expertise in PySpark, Python, Databricks, SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and large-scale ETL/ELT pipeline development for enterprise data platforms.
Experience designing and implementing Agentic AI and LLM-based solutions, including autonomous AI agents, data engineering frameworks, data quality controls, and scalable cloud-based analytics environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
