Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. This role requires strong hands‑on Python expertise with proven experience remediating vulnerabilities and managing production infrastructure across AWS and GCP while driving monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Site Reliability Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python, focusing on libraries, dependency management, and runtime optimization.

• Perform Python CVE remediation, patching, and library upgrades to address security and performance issues in production systems.

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot high‑availability infrastructure across AWS and GCP environments.

• Drive Site Reliability Engineering practices include monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis.

• Support performance engineering initiatives such as latency tuning, capacity planning, and reliability improvements.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation, leveraging container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.

• 6–8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related role.

• Strong hands‑on Python development experience, including library management, vulnerability remediation, and performance optimization in production environments.

• Proven expertise managing high‑availability systems on AWS and GCP with strong SRE practices, monitoring, Linux systems knowledge, and CI/CD automation experience.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
