Senior SQL DBA

Akkodis is seeking a Senior SQL DBA for a Contract with a client in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will lead end‑to‑end quality assurance efforts by developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and regression suites.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior SQL DBA Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive QA artifacts including test strategies, test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.

• Execute manual functional, integration, system, and regression testing across multiple application phases.

• Perform in‑depth defect analysis and root cause investigation using advanced SQL and data model knowledge.

• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and developers to clarify requirements and close documentation gaps.

• Manage regression test suites, track defects, and provide detailed project status reporting to stakeholders.

• Lead offshore testing deliverables and coordinate with automation teams to ensure timely, high‑quality releases.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles.

• Strong expertise in manual testing, test planning, defect management, and advanced SQL for data validation and root cause analysis.

• Proven experience collaborating with business and development teams, managing regression suites, and leading offshore QA deliverables in complex application environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
