Snowflake Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Snowflake Engineer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will lead Snowflake engineering initiatives by designing scalable data warehouses and data pipelines while ensuring performance, governance, and cost optimization.

Rate Range: $47/Hour to $49/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Snowflake Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop scalable Snowflake data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Optimize SQL queries, warehouse performance, and cloud resource utilization to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Implement data governance, security controls, and role-based access management within Snowflake.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data solutions.

• Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior data engineers.

• Develop and maintain data models, dbt workflows, and CI/CD processes to support enterprise data platforms.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or data warehousing, with extensive Snowflake expertise.

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, advanced SQL, Python, dbt, and Git/CI-CD workflows.

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including data integration and orchestration services.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $49.00 per hour
