    Akkodis is seeking a Software AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The candidate must have deep expertise in large‑scale distributed systems and agentic AI architectures to drive end‑to‑end delivery of autonomous, production‑grade AI systems.

    Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

    Software AI Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Drive the architecture and technical direction for agentic AI systems, ensuring scalable, reliable, and autonomous workflow design.

    • Design and build production‑grade agentic AI capabilities, including planning, tool‑use, memory, evaluation, and orchestration layers.

    • Develop and operate distributed backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines supporting high‑performance agentic workloads.

    • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex, multi‑product AI initiatives from concept to production.

    • Evaluate emerging LLMs, agentic frameworks, and orchestration patterns, translating them into enterprise‑ready improvements.

    • Mentor senior engineers and lead technical reviews to ensure best practices around autonomy, safety, scalability, and reliability.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related engineering discipline.

    • 10+ years of experience building large‑scale distributed systems and advanced AI/ML or agentic AI workflows.

    • Deep expertise with LLM systems, agentic architectures, orchestration frameworks, and end‑to‑end autonomous system design.

    • Proven ability to lead technical direction, design production‑grade agentic AI capabilities, and collaborate across teams to deliver cross‑cutting AI initiatives.

    Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
