Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation frameworks and delivering comprehensive functional, regression, and API test coverage.

Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation solutions for functional, regression, and API testing.

• Build, customize, deploy, and manage test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and industry best practices.

• Ensure extensive test coverage by developing high-quality automation code and executing multithreaded test runs.

• Perform debugging, defect triage, and database test automation to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Collaborate within agile scrum teams, clearly presenting test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Create and maintain test documentation such as test plans, strategies, and post-test reports while meeting tight deadlines.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Automation Engineer.

• Strong expertise in Java-based test automation using Selenium, TestNG, and automation design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).

• Proven experience in API and database testing, working in agile scrum environments, and delivering high-quality automation frameworks under tight deadlines.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
