    Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI(Hybrid). The ideal candidate with strong OOP fundamentals and hands‑on experience in C, C++, and Python—an essential qualification for supporting the VENDURE toolset in the CAE domain.

    Rate Range: $60/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

     

    Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

    • Design, develop, debug, and maintain CAE software components and models within the VENDURE toolset.

    • Translate business and technical requirements into effective, scalable engineering solutions.

    • Perform problem analysis, debugging, and performance troubleshooting across CAE applications.

    • Develop, test, and deploy software modules using version‑controlled environments such as GitHub.

    • Apply DevOps best practices to automate workflows, improve reliability, and streamline software delivery.

    • Collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality features while managing changing priorities.

     

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering/technical discipline.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAE application developer.

    • Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) with hands‑on experience in C, C++, and Python.

    • Knowledge of CAE/FEA tools such as Nastran or Abaqus, along with experience debugging, performance troubleshooting, and working in Agile and GitHub‑based environments.

    Pay Details: $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
