Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. This role focuses on designing and building scalable data pipelines and microservices that power enterprise‑level cloud data platforms.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing scalable data pipelines and microservices that support real‑time and batch processing on GCP.

• Implementing service‑oriented and microservices‑based architectures to ensure modular and maintainable data platform components.

• Integrating front‑end and back‑end components by applying full‑stack expertise to enable seamless data access and user‑driven exploration.

• Leading ingestion and integration of diverse data sources into the enterprise data platform while ensuring standardization and optimization.

• Utilizing GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions to build and manage reliable cloud‑native data solutions.

• Optimizing performance, scalability, and efficiency of data pipelines while automating platform processes to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Minimum 5+ years in software development (Java/Python), 3+ years with GCP services, and 3+ years building microservices and REST APIs.

• Strong hands‑on experience developing scalable data pipelines, microservices, and cloud‑native solutions using GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions.

• Proven ability to apply full‑stack skills, CI/CD practices, and service‑oriented architecture to build reliable, secure, and high‑performance data platform components.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
