Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract with a client in Torrance, CA (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing data acquisition and control applications while integrating test instruments and troubleshooting system-level software and hardware issues.

Rate Range: $50/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain Data Acquisition and Control Systems (DACS) for aerospace test stands and testing facilities.

• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs to support automated control systems.

• Develop and integrate LabVIEW-based applications for real-time data acquisition, monitoring, and process control.

• Integrate and validate test instrumentation, including power analyzers, power supplies, pressure and temperature scanners, flow meters, transmitters, and actuators.

• Create and execute test plans to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance with technical requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements, resolve software/hardware issues, and document system designs, installation procedures, and user manuals.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in software development focused on data acquisition, automation, test systems, or process control systems.

• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, specifically PLC platforms.

• Strong proficiency in LabVIEW (or equivalent development tools) and experience integrating test instrumentation into control systems.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
