Software Engineer - Vehicle Integration System

Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer - Vehicle Integration System for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and enhance vehicle integration software solutions that support configuration workflows and connected vehicle capabilities.

Rate Range: $45/Hour to $50/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer - Vehicle Integration System Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications, microservices, and APIs supporting vehicle integration systems.

• Collaborate with vehicle engineering, telematics, and supplier teams to integrate new vehicle features and communication network capabilities.

• Analyze vehicle requirements, signal definitions, and system architectures to develop effective software solutions.

• Support the integration of CAN, CAN-FD, J1939, LIN, Ethernet, and connected vehicle technologies within the VIS platform.

• Implement software quality, cybersecurity, CI/CD, and DevSecOps best practices to ensure reliable and secure applications.

• Lead technical discussions, provide architectural guidance, and mentor engineers while driving continuous improvement across the development team.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Proven experience in embedded automotive software development, including vehicle communication networks such as CAN, CAN-FD, J1939, LIN, and telematics systems.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
