Akkodis is seeking a Sr. AEP Data Engineer with strong data performance and data quality skills for a fully remote role. The Sr. AEP Data Engineer will design, build, and operate scalable customer data solutions on Adobe Experience Platform. Qualified candidates will have 10+ years of software and/or data engineering experience along with 2+ years in AEP. This role is starting as a 1-2 month temporary role with a chance of extension.
Pay Range: $90-120 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Sr. AEP Engineer job responsibilities include:
Focus heavily on data management, data quality, monitoring frameworks, and operational governance to ensure reliable, compliant, and high-quality data flows across the MarTech ecosystem.
Adobe Experience Platform Engineering
Design, implement, and maintain AEP data ingestion pipelines (batch and streaming).
Build and manage schemas, datasets, identities, and profile configurations in AEP.
Support and optimize Real-Time Customer Profile and segmentation use cases.
Work closely with Analytics, RTCDP, Journey Optimizer, and downstream activation platforms.
Data Management & Governance
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all AEP datasets.
Implement data lifecycle management, including TTL policies, profile cleanup, and volume control.
Enforce data governance, consent, and compliance standards in partnership with Legal and Privacy teams.
Define and document data standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
Monitoring & Observability Frameworks
Design and build monitoring frameworks for:
Data ingestion success/failure
Volume anomalies and spikes
Schema drift and data quality issues
Profile growth and license consumption
Create dashboards, alerts, and automated checks to proactively detect issues.
Support incident analysis, root cause investigations, and long-term remediation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate brings strong data engineering fundamentals, deep understanding of enterprise-scale data platforms, and hands-on AEP expertise, with the ability to proactively identify risks, build observability, and partner with cross-functional teams
10+ years of overall experience in software engineering or data engineering.
2+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) experience in a production environment.
Strong experience with:
Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and large-scale data platforms
JSON, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
SQL and data analysis for validation and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of customer data platforms (CDP) concepts:
Identity resolution
Profile stitching
Segmentation and activation
Proven experience building monitoring, alerting, and data quality frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex, cross-functional environments
