Sr Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Engineering Technician for a Contract with a client in Torrance, CA. This role focuses on analyzing work processes and production methods to improve efficiency, establish standard rates, and support complex electro-mechanical manufacturing and repair operations.

Rate Range: $35/Hour to $38/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Engineering Technician Responsibilities include:

• Analyze time, motion, and work methods to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency and productivity.

• Establish and maintain standard production rates for maintenance, manufacturing, and support operations.

• Interpret technical blueprints and electrical schematics to support troubleshooting, assembly, and repair activities.

• Perform J-STD compliant soldering and rework of printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure quality and reliability standards.

• Manufacture, repair, and test cables, harnesses, and electro-mechanical components used in production environments.

• Build, troubleshoot, and repair test boxes and test consoles while providing technical guidance to team members as needed.

 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, or a related field is preferred.

• 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing, production, maintenance, or industrial engineering environments.

• Proven ability to interpret and work from technical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.

• Hands-on experience with J-STD soldering standards, PCB assembly/rework, and cable and harness fabrication and repair.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour
