Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Canada MN. The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier quality management, supplier development, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and quality system compliance, along with the ability to drive supplier performance improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Supplier Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage Supplier Change Notifications (SCNs) by conducting impact assessments, coordinating internal and external communications, evaluating risks, and supporting successful implementation of supplier-related changes.

  • Lead material non-conformance investigations by performing risk assessments, coordinating root cause analysis activities, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.

  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), including investigation oversight, corrective action development, implementation monitoring, and verification of effectiveness activities.

  • Support supplier development initiatives by leading supplier qualification efforts, new material qualification programs, and receiving inspection process development for new product introductions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical discipline.

  • Experience supporting supplier quality engineering, supplier development, quality assurance, manufacturing quality, or supplier management activities.

  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies, corrective action processes, risk assessment techniques, and quality improvement practices.

  • Experience managing supplier quality investigations, material non-conformances, supplier audits, and supplier performance improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, manufacturing teams, engineering groups, procurement organizations, and quality stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, life sciences, or advanced manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of supplier quality management systems, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and supplier qualification methodologies.

  • Experience supporting new product introductions, supplier onboarding, material qualification activities, and supply chain quality initiatives.

  • Familiarity with CAPA processes, quality audits, statistical analysis tools, and supplier performance measurement systems.

  • Experience developing supplier scorecards, performance dashboards, and continuous improvement programs focused on supplier quality and delivery performance.

  • Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Manufacturing, or other quality-related certifications are considered a plus.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
