Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Supply Chain Planner for a Contract job with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and ERP-based planning processes, along with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Supply Chain Planner Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute weekly supply plans by analyzing demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply constraints to ensure customer requirements are met while minimizing inventory costs.

  • Monitor supply chain performance, resolve inventory shortages and backlogs, and drive corrective actions to maintain target service levels and fill rates.

  • Maintain planning parameters and ERP master data to support accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and material lifecycle management activities.

  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, procurement, and finished goods planning teams to ensure adequate material availability and production capacity.

  • Publish and communicate weekly factory forecasts, highlighting supply gaps, risks, changes in demand, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives while collaborating with business and IT teams to implement sustainable solutions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • A minimum of three years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, or a related supply chain discipline.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts including forecasting, demand management, inventory optimization, replenishment planning, and capacity planning.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise planning platforms to support supply chain operations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to evaluate complex data sets and make sound operational decisions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS certification is highly desirable and demonstrates a strong foundation in supply chain planning and inventory management best practices.

  • A Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience supporting electronic products, service supply chains, aftermarket operations, or technology-based manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with forward supply chain processes, factory planning operations, material management strategies, and capacity planning methodologies.

  • Experience leading supply chain improvement initiatives, inventory optimization projects, or planning system enhancement activities.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain analytics, forecasting methodologies, and performance metrics used to drive operational excellence.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
