System Architect

Akkodis is seeking a System Architect for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for leading PowerNet architecture adaptation, translating vehicle requirements into robust electrical system designs, and coordinating cross-functional workstreams to ensure successful vehicle integration.

Rate Range: $50/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop low-voltage (12V/48V) automotive power supply and power distribution architectures for next-generation vehicle platforms.

• Apply systems engineering principles to analyze vehicle requirements and define robust electrical system and component-level specifications.

• Lead PowerNet architecture adaptation and customize platform power solutions to meet specific program needs and vehicle requirements.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards by identifying risks and implementing safe power supply architectures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and component engineers to integrate, validate, and optimize power system performance.

• Coordinate and align all relevant engineering workstreams to support seamless vehicle integration and successful program delivery.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage (12V/48V) automotive power supply engineering and electrical system development.

• Proven experience applying Systems Engineering methodologies to develop, analyze, and validate automotive electrical architectures.

• Hands-on experience with automotive power distribution systems, including 12V/48V PowerNet architecture design, adaptation, and integration, with knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
