Technical Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Technical Lead for a Contract with a client in White House Station, NJ. This role leads to the design and delivery of scalable, event-driven Java applications using Kafka and modern cloud technologies.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Technical Lead Job Responsibilities include:

• Design and develop scalable Java-based applications utilizing Kafka for real-time data processing.

• Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Conduct code reviews, identify technical risks, and ensure application quality, security, and compliance.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed and cloud environments.

• Support deployment, integration, and continuous improvement using modern DevOps and observability tools.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of experience in Java development with strong expertise in Kafka and distributed systems.

• Proficiency in advanced Java concepts, Spring Boot, Kafka (or similar messaging systems), and experience with Drools rule engine.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), databases (RDBMS/NoSQL), and strong leadership skills in mentoring teams and driving architecture decisions.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
