Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Technician for a Contract job with a client in Binghamton, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly testing, troubleshooting, and production support, along with the ability to diagnose and repair printed circuit board assemblies to the component level.
Rate Range: $18/hour to $20/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Technician Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) using established production and quality procedures.
Operate and support test equipment including Genrad Test Systems, Flying Probe Test Machines, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, frequency counters, and other electronic test instruments.
Troubleshoot failed PCBAs and assemblies to the component level by utilizing schematics, assembly drawings, mechanical prints, and technical documentation.
Document, communicate, and report troubleshooting results, failure analysis findings, corrective actions, and repair activities in accordance with company standards.
Assist in the development and maintenance of work instructions, troubleshooting guides, test procedures, and production documentation to support manufacturing operations.
Provide support for production activities by performing minor equipment maintenance, assisting with operator training, and contributing toward departmental productivity and quality objectives.
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required, and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
A minimum of two years of experience working in manufacturing, production, electronics assembly, electronics testing, or troubleshooting environments.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and testing analog and digital electronic circuits, electronic assemblies, or printed circuit boards.
Strong ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, electrical schematics, technical documentation, and manufacturing instructions.
Experience utilizing electronic test equipment and measurement instruments including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting aircraft instruments, aerospace electronics, industrial electronics, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) concepts, testing processes, and reliability verification methodologies.
Experience performing soldering and mechanical assembly activities involving complex electronic assemblies and precision components.
Knowledge of military standards, ISO 9000 quality systems, electronic manufacturing processes, and component-level repair techniques.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
