Terraform Cloud DevOps Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Terraform Cloud DevOps Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. This role requires deep hands‑on expertise with Terraform to build IaC-driven cloud deployments while supporting CI/CD automation and infrastructure lifecycle operations.

Rate Range: $71/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Terraform Cloud DevOps Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, provision, and automate AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform to support application migrations, upgrades, and new deployments.

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.

• Implement AWS security best practices, compliance controls, monitoring, and capacity planning across cloud environments.

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define infrastructure standards, lifecycle processes, and operational best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through optimization, automation, and standardization of DevOps tools and methodologies.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, optimize performance and cost, and support integration efforts across multiple stakeholder teams.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 7–10+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering, including strong hands‑on expertise with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.

• Proven ability to design, automate, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud‑native security/compliance best practices.

• Strong experience collaborating across architecture, engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and standardized cloud solutions.

Pay Details: $71.00 to $75.00 per hour
