Test Engineer II

Akkodis is seeking a Test Engineer II for a Contract job with a client in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in wireless module testing, RF validation, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), and hardware/software integration, along with hands-on debugging expertise.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Test Engineer II Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, validate, and support Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and test programs used for wireless module testing and production validation.

• Debug and analyze ATE hardware and software issues to ensure accurate and reliable test execution.

• Establish and maintain correlation between ATE systems and laboratory bench test equipment to validate performance and measurement accuracy.

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting using RF test equipment and laboratory instrumentation to identify performance discrepancies and system issues.

• Conduct root cause analysis for hardware, software, integration, and test-related issues and drive corrective actions to resolution.

• Support hardware and software integration efforts, including test optimization, validation, and system performance improvements.

• Collaborate with vendors to coordinate wireless module builds, hardware readiness activities, and manufacturing support requirements.

• Work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing partners, and external test organizations to ensure quality, reliability, and performance objectives are achieved.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• A minimum of three years of experience in wireless testing, validation engineering, product verification, or a related engineering field.

• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, wireless communication technologies, and signal measurement techniques.

• Demonstrated experience performing design validation, debugging, and test engineering activities in a product development environment.

• Hands-on experience with hardware and software integration, system validation, and engineering troubleshooting.

• Proven ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems in manufacturing, production, or validation environments.

• Familiarity with wireless module manufacturing processes, testing methodologies, and product qualification activities.

• Experience utilizing RF laboratory equipment and test instrumentation for debugging and performance analysis.

• Experience supporting product development programs that require close collaboration between hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams.

• Knowledge of wireless module certification, reliability testing, and production test optimization practices.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $52.00 per hour
