VAVE Engineer (Electro-Mechanical)

Akkodis is seeking a VAVE Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) for a Contract with a client in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate with a strong background in executing cost optimization and product improvement projects within the medical device industry.

Rate Range: $37/Hour to $41/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

VAVE Engineer (Electro-Mechanical) Responsibilities include:

• Lead and execute VAVE projects focused on cost reduction, product improvement, and value optimization.

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.

• Manage engineering change processes and support implementation of design changes into production.

• Perform design verification activities, including protocol development, testing, and test report preparation.

• Coordinate with offshore teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.

• Ensure product designs meet medical device standards, EMC requirements, and safety regulations.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8-10 years of experience in VAVE, product design, and engineering project execution.

• Strong expertise in SolidWorks, engineering change management, and design verification activities.

• Experience in medical device development, including knowledge of regulatory standards, EMC, and safety requirements.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $41.00 per hour
