Executive confidence in AI strategies fell from 69% in 2024 to 58% in 2025, according to a global Akkodis survey of 2,000 executives. CEOs saw the largest drop (33%), while CTOs declined 20%, reflecting concerns over AI scalability, slow implementation, and unmet efficiency gains. Only 55% of leaders believe their teams fully understand AI’s risks and opportunities.
Internal Talent Development Boosts AI Adoption Success
Relying solely on external hires cannot close AI skill gaps. Organizations must invest in internal training programs to equip leadership and teams with the knowledge and soft skills necessary for effective AI deployment and measurable business impact.
Human-Centric Leadership Key to AI Strategy
Survey findings highlight that executives need a balance of technical expertise and human leadership skills. Communication, empathy, and strategic thinking complement AI technology to ensure successful adoption and long-term organizational growth.
