Structural & Civil Engineer – Nuclear & Energy Projects

    We are seeking a Structural & Civil Engineer to play a key role in significant projects within the nuclear and energy sectors.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conducting structural calculations and analyses for buildings and infrastructures exposed to complex loads, such as earthquakes, explosions, tornadoes, and aircraft impacts.
    • Overseeing and supervising construction activities to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
    • Performing inspections and quality control measures, verifying materials, construction methods, and execution on-site.
    • Assisting in the preparation of technical specifications, reviewing contractor documentation, and offering technical expertise.
    • Providing guidance and technical mentorship to junior engineers and subcontractors.
    • Collaborating with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and effective risk management.
    • Educational Background: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience, depending on the scope of responsibilities.
    • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in structural calculations and both static and dynamic analysis, with experience in site supervision, construction monitoring, and quality control.
    • Software Proficiency: Skilled in structural analysis software such as ANSYS and SCIA.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with international standards and regulations, including Eurocodes, ASCE, ACI, and USNRC.
    • Analytical Skills: Demonstrates an analytical mindset, autonomy, and effective teamwork abilities.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
    • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus.
