From the IOWN Concept to Real-World Deployment:
Driving Technological Innovation and Talent Development

Societal Challenges in the AI Era Call for IOWN®

With the proliferation of AI (including machine learning), cloud, and 5G, information and communications traffic continues to grow exponentially. Along with it, the power consumption of networks and computing is also rising, posing a major challenge to building a sustainable society.
To address these challenges, IOWN® (Innovative Optical and Wireless Network, a trademark or registered trademark of NTT, Inc.; hereinafter "IOWN") is expected to serve as next-generation social infrastructure that leverages photonics-electronics convergence technology to transmit large volumes of data at low latency while dramatically reducing power consumption.

POINT 01

Next-Generation Network Infrastructure(All-Photonics Network)

Optical-based communications deliver ultra-low latency, high capacity, and low power consumption.

POINT 02

AI Computing Infrastructure(AI Computing Platform)

Connects and reconfigures computing resources distributed across the network via photonics-electronics convergence (PEC), enabling integration and optimal allocation.

POINT 03

Integrated Infrastructure Supporting a Data-Driven Society

Leverages APN and AICP to enable advanced analysis, control, and value creation through AI and digital twins.

The Akkodis Approach

Through both talent development and tech consulting, Akkodis supports the real-world deployment of IOWN, the next-generation social infrastructure advanced with the IOWN GLOBAL FORUM™ at its core.
By integrating IOWN elements into the engineer development programs we have cultivated over the years, we systematically develop and produce talent. We are also moving beyond concept to strengthen our implementation and execution capabilities, shifting experienced tech consultants into this domain.
Furthermore, through IOWN FUSION BASE, we support cross-company co-creation and proof-of-concept trials, building the foundation that underpins real-world deployment.

Pioneering Three Areas Through IOWN

AREA 01

Talent Development

The real-world deployment of IOWN requires talent with a cross-cutting understanding of networking, computing, and optical technologies.
By incorporating IOWN elements into the engineer development programs we have built over the years, Akkodis systematically develops and produces IOWN-ready talent, strengthening the talent base that supports real-world deployment.

AREA 02

Use Case Creation

The value of IOWN is maximized when it is embodied in real-world use cases.
Drawing on our extensive track record in consulting and engineering, Akkodis drives the creation of use cases tailored to customer challenges, powerfully accelerating the practical application and business adoption of IOWN.

AREA 03

Global Expansion

Deploying IOWN on a global scale calls for worldwide collaboration.
Leveraging our network across 30 countries worldwide, Akkodis expands the real-world deployment of IOWN globally, both by developing and supplying IOWN-ready talent and by driving international projects.

IOWN FUSION BASE

A Fusion Space for Co-Creation

What Is IOWN FUSION BASE?

An IOWN co-creation hub operated by Akkodis. Starting from talent and technology, it functions as a fusion space that accelerates the real-world deployment of IOWN.

Here, we create value around the fusion of three elements: "people and organizations," "business opportunities," and "knowledge." Akkodis tech consultants collaborate with customers, research institutions, and partner companies to advance the understanding and practice of IOWN, while fostering new businesses that combine each organization’s strengths. By further integrating global and local perspectives as well as cutting-edge technology with on-the-ground expertise, we deliver highly effective initiatives and sustainable real-world deployment.

Through these forms of fusion, IOWN FUSION BASE goes beyond a mere testing environment: it functions as the core of value creation in the era of next-generation infrastructure, connecting the innovative technologies IOWN brings to society.
